Quiver: shows up with dots when I 'Copy Figure'

I trying to make presentation-quality figures of a velocity using 'quiver.' The vectors look great on the MatLAB figure, however, getting them to appear with the same clarity for a .pptx or .docx has been quite frustrating.

I have tried saving as .png, .tif, and .emf. I lose resolution making the text and vectors grainy.

My best option so far has been to 'Copy Figure' and then paste into my ppt. This allows the text to be very clear, however, the vectors have dots on the end. Is there a work around for this.

Or...any help in saving good, clear quiver figures from Matlab to be put into PPT or Word.
