Which of the processes I suggested are you having trouble with?
Post the code you have developed so far, telling us where it is failing, and someone will assist you.
To answer the question about which method is better for your data, you need to do some reading.
DFT is appropriate for stationary data - if the transients in your signal are important, then DFT is no good, it will smear them out.
DWT is appropriate for non-stationary data - if the transients in your signal are not important, then use DFT.![]()
